From September 25 to 27, 2026, Desenzano del Garda hosts the eighth edition of the Desenzano Film Festival, an international short film showcase that this year selected more than a thousand works from 72 countries. Screenings take place at Teatro Alberti, while masterclasses are scheduled at Palazzo Todeschini.

Opening the festival, on Friday, September 25 at 9:00 PM, will be the new competitive section "Composizioni Sinestetiche" ("Synesthetic Compositions"), dedicated to works that weave together visual and sound languages. Saturday and Sunday continue with screenings from the official selection, spanning fiction, documentary, animation and experimental film, with works tackling themes such as territory, geopolitics, climate change, labor and artificial intelligence. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 27 at 8:00 PM, with prizes totaling 1,000 euros and artist residencies in Bienno.
