On January 10 and 11, 2026, Desenzano del Garda hosted the first edition of Stragardalake - Run Your Dream, a new running event along the lake shore and the moraine hills of the area. Three routes were on offer: 21 km, 10 km and a 5 km urban route, designed to welcome experienced runners, walkers and families alike.

Besides the individual race, with prizes for the top three men and women finishers, the event also featured team categories, including a Team Business category for local companies and a Team Fun category focused on sustainability. Up to 2,500 participants took part.

The route also passed along the lungolago Cesare Battisti waterfront, where Santa is located: an ideal spot for anyone who, before or after the race, wanted to enjoy the lake view.
